In addition to the overall changes being implemented by the Maryland SoccerPlex, we are taking precautions to ensure we do our part in making our classes and programs as safe as possible.
Precautions we are taking:
Masks - Participants are required to wear masks for all indoor classes for the duration of the program. For outdoor programs, masks are required to and from the field for all participants.
Social Distancing - For any of our programs that are any type of clinic, such as 2-Kicks, and Pre-Kicks, we will space each child out as close to 6 feet apart as possible to follow CDC guidelines. Please note, some programs such as leagues, we will not be able to do this.
Smaller Groupings - All classes and clinics will be with limited numbers. Our smaller class size allows us to control the number of people gathering to follow the CDC and Montgomery County Health Department's guidelines.
Cleaning of Equipment - Equipment used in all programs will be cleaned before and after each use. While we have spare soccer balls for classes, in order to prevent the need to share it would be best if you bring your own ball to class.
Hand Sanitizing - The Maryland SoccerPlex has placed a number of hand sanitizing stations throughout the indoor and outdoor facilities.
Health Screenings - Every participant will fill out a Health Check Form no more than 12 hours in advance of the start time of their program. This form requires you to verify that your child has not been exposed to COVID 19, nor is showing symptoms of it. Additionally, our staff has their temperature taken and are also screened upon arrival before every class.
In order to comply with the Montgomery County Health Department's indoor capacity limitations, for classes being held inside the Adventist HealthCare Fieldhouse, we cannot allow parents/spectators to come into the building. Our staff will meet you out front and be available to walk your child into the Fieldhouse and ensure they get to the right spot for the class. After class, our staff will be sure to walk them back out front to you. We appreciate your understanding on this matter.
Please note: The response to COVID 19 is a very fluid situation as we learn more about the virus and ways to combat it. As such our rules will change as state and county guidelines change. Please check from time to time to ensure you are aware of our most up-to-date rules and regulations.
